Small wins compound for Big wins

You have heard this before or even tried but were not quite sure what to do or how it works.

The theory is big wins don’t just happen it takes years of consistently making changes and growing and failing and learning and repeating over and over and over again to create a habit.

Quick fixes do not work. You most likely fall right back to where you were or maybe even worse.

So let’s try this. Pick one thing you know you could improve on. Now let’s pic a way to improve this. (Small step). Now let’s take this action and do it for a week straight. (Boom) now it is a habit to repeat every week. Now let’s pick another area that needs improvement, what is the action to take? Now do that for a week while maintaining the first habit we created. Keep repeating the process. If you fail at some point then remove the last action step for a week and then try again.

Here is an example. You struggle with water intake. You only drink coffee and Diet Coke. Action to create the habit. Drink a bottle of water upon wakening, once that habit is set let’s drink a bottle with lunch. Second part of habit set now let’s drink a bottle with dinner. Key is I didn’t say don’t drink coffee or Diet Coke just add in the water 💧. Now the magical part of this is that with the added water in place they will organically drink less water and Diet Coke because they are hydrated.

Second Senario. Habit of not eating breakfast because I’m too busy or not hungry. That’s a bad habit. Here is how we fix it. Question – do you commute to work? Yes 20 min. Great that’s your breakfast time. I want you to start with eating a banana 🍌 every morning on your way to work. Got it new habit created. Now add a granola bar. Great habit in place. Now add 2 hard boiled egg’s 🥚. Great habit in place. Now add a smoothie. Now we have created a great habit of eating breakfast.

Now you repeat the process over and over again each time creating better habits and a new lifestyle. You can use this system for anything you are trying to accomplish.
